I had another alias that I completely forgot about which will probably be banned too, liek I give a ****, but I did contact tronic and told him that ****head would like to be activated.

Yeah, I still popped in there every couple months or so to see what's happening. The Politix and Free for All sections were completely dead. Zero activity. Sam changed the format to zero replies in the ads area. Someone posted an ad and their email addy or phone number, nobody replied and threads were immediately closed after they were started. I guess that was Sam's job.

Which is a pretty ****ed up way to run any kind of forum - even a classifieds ads forum if you ask me.

Yeah wow. I had no idea. It looks like his Domain ran out on July 3rd and he never re-upped it. I had no idea if there was any traffic over there, I hadn't been there in a good while. I always figured that Sam would take over for Frank when Frank would get bored with it...

Strange. You'd figure with all of the Political stuff coming up and happening, them guys would be circle jerking, not closing up shop.... Wonder if the Proboards domain still exists?

This is sort of like a private message. I believe this works more like a Facebook Wall, where you can sort of have personal or more private conversations with a group of people instead of on the board but anyone has access to read what's here.

The Bold type that you are talking about... if I'm correct because I've noticed it, I believe just shows what the most recent posts were, regardless if you've read them or not. I'm not exactly sure what the cut off period/time is for them to be Bold. If you've read a thread they should turn to some bronze/brownish color instead of black

But basically what I'm getting at is that I might post something on a thread. Later, I might open the forum but not look at that thread after someone posts after me. Then I'll check back later - maybe the next day or after I log out and back in and that thread (with the reply to my post that I haven't read) shows that I've read it (gray icon).

Hard to explain, I hope you're getting this. Either way, I'll post those screenshots tomorrow.
