It's a shame he got injured too. He always gets injured but if he had stayed healthy he would've added a lot to the middle of the lineup, same with Chirs Snyder, the anemic offense had a major holes in the middle.

I felt overall, before the injury and so far since, doumit is having his best overall season. Hitting well, power is there, defense has been as good as it's ever been and his handling of pitchers has been as good as it's ever been. guy just can't stay healthy for a season and without him, it's a void in the lineup that screws up the batting order

they'll keep one of Doumit or Snyder, Doumit is the all around better hitter, but Snyder generally stays healthier. $5+ million is a lot of loot

Be curious to see which one. Snyder will be the cheaper one, but I venture to guess alot will ride on how his back progresses.
