Please Support The Pittsburgh Sports Forum
I am not a moderator, or owner of the site. I just enjoy the site daily and each year I give a modest donation to the site for its upkeep.
http://www.pittsburghsportstavern.co...?pageid=donate
Look times are tough I understand that. But a small, $5.00 donation, to keep this site running is less than .02 cents a day for the year. I can't know what everyone's financial standing is, but if you can contribute please consider it. This site is run without ads and the chaos associated with forums with ads.
I know that Palmetto foots most of the bill for this site and it is very much appreciated. The mods Kip, Steelreign, Buccoray, Palmetto (please excuse me if i forgot someone) do a great job with this site.
I mean do you remember the chaos of the Trib? Trolls, bs info, no order, no maintenance. Or the sloppy ad-filled feel of other Steeler forums/sites? For me this site is one stop Steeler news and clearly worth the donation I made to the site. In fact I feel its probably undervalued compared to the enjoyment I get from the site, the news and the interaction with many people I consider my friends.
Again nobody put me up to writing this, its just how I feel. If you can contribute eve a buck or two I am sure it would be much appreciated.
Anyway Mods, if this is out of line or out of place, feel free to move it!
Lets keep a good thing going in 2012! Because if it wasn't for this site, my days as a Steeler fan forum member would be over!
Thanks to all our Mods and operators for a great 2011!Last edited by bdeff; Jan-01-2012 at 12:35 PM.

Re: Please Support The Pittsburgh Sports Tavern
Thanx for the sentiment, man.... It truly is appreciated....
I can tell you (if you didn't read the newsletter sent via e-mail a few days ago) that Kip has some wonderful things planned in the near future for our site...
We have a few tricks up our sleeve that will make this place one of the most innovative and popular places on the 'net for Pgh sports once they are implemented in the coming months."The Difference Between Adventure And Ordeal Is Attitude" - Jimmy Buffett

This is gonna cost us a pretty hefty check when we see Bdeff at the taligate this year

Seriously though, thanks Bdeff! And yes we have a few changes coming. I almost feel like they are going to be more meaningful to myself for a lot of behimd the scenes stuff but if all the cards fall in the right places then we will all see the benefits.

Re: Please Support The Pittsburgh Sports Tavern
Thanks Bdeff, I feel the same as you. If anything were to happen where this place went away, I would never hit another Steelers, Pirates or Pens message board. I'll check others out from time to time and always come away with an even greater appreciation for the Tavern. I really believe that on average we have the most intelligent posters and the best owners and together it makes for the best site in cyberspace.

Kip, Dave, I stickied this thread because I feel it's an important thread started by a very dear member. We really do owe Kip and Palmetto a big thanks for all the time and effort put in behind the scenes for what we see when we all log on.
