    Default WVU v Clemson

After a very close and exciting start to the game, WVU had a 2nd qtr for the decades.... 49-20 at the half now, and probably over for all intents and purposes....

IMO, it all started with the turnover for a TD when Clemson was on the goal line trying to punch it in for a score that would have given them the lead.... Both teams started strong, but momentum is quite a fickle thing, unfortunately.....

    Kudos to WVU..... (Ugh!).....

    Yup...............

Man, I like both teams.... I grew-up 20 minutes up I-79 from Morgantown, and now live 10-15 minutes from the Clemson campus.... Hell, I'm now on the waiting list for Clemson season tix....

I was looking forward to this game more than any other in anticipation of a good game, but it's a blowout....

Can't even watch anymore, as it's now 63-20 in the 3rd qtr.... BTW, the 69 points scored in the first half is a BCS record... But I am now turning my tv off.... Clemson is known for late-season meltdowns, but this is just pathetic for all football fans except the WVU diehards.

Their football team scored almost as many points as their basketball team last night! It would be nice to see Pitt put an offense on the field like that someday! Chryst's offenses in Wisky put up big numbers over the years, but he had the players to do it too. It's going to be all about how well he can recruit for Pitt now. It probably got a little tougher on him after WVU's showing last night. WVU putting up 70 in the Orange Bowl will certainly help them and make it tougher on Pitt at the same time.

You know, when I first read your post, I thought you were calling them hijacks! I was like, "why in the world is he calling them hijacks, and what does that exactly mean?" I need to get to bed shortly!

Hill-jacks..... It's actually an "endearing" term that I tease bdeff with.... Because I know he can handle/understand my jokes.

I.E. - One leg longer than the other because they are used to running on the hillside.... They only wear shoes one day of the week, and that is gameday.... They came out of the hills in WV for one day a week, and that is to play football.... etc....

It is not a contradictory description at all, because it is also where I grew-up. And he knows I'm just having fun.... Been doing it for several years now with him, and he knows the fun behind it.

.... It's just a little "teasing" that I do with WVU every year.... Along with posting pictures of burning coutches......
