You heard it's "more"?.... Where?.... A decade?.... Where?

It's only a single home-home series..... Nothing more.... Unless more games were added after the initial announcement, which I doubt, because it would've made alot of news in Pgh and to those of us that grew-up watching the two of them play on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

If you've found more news to the contrary, please post it, as it would really make my day... Alot...

.......... The Backyard Brawl will go the same direction unless the superior "powers that be" keep it as a non-conf game when both teams go to different conferences, which could be difficult pending on the desires of both schools and programs, as well as their plans for preparing for the season at hand.

Until then, a single home-home matchup is not a "rivalry renewed".... But more similar to a "booty call" or a short one-night-stand with an ex-girlfriend, but nothing more IMHO....

It will be tough, because I think Pitt wants to keep Notre Dame on their non conference schedule too. Once they join the ACC, they may only have room for three non conference games a year. One of those will be a cupcake game.

Where did you hear that from, because I haven't heard anything new about it since the announcement of the two game home and home series?

Exactly!.... Who do you keep?.... The Golden Domers?.... WVU?.... Penn State (if even a possibility)?.... With the expansion of the ACC, there's talk of all teams down here having fewer non-conf games and more in-conf games, but that's still in the talking stages.... So who do you keep, for cupcakes or tradition?..... It'll be interesting to say the least.

I say WVU and Penn State for that one. Better SOS defiantly.

I found it on this one site a while back, but its been updated and it said those statements we're wrong. But I think there's still a great chance the rivalry will continue, but not until like 2020 or something.

Right, and who even knows what will happen in 2016? The NFL employs a similar scheduling procedure, and the teams are almost never playing the games that are scheduled five years in advance. They are only a vague preliminary.

Like I previously said, Pitt should most likely win this year's Big East title and get to a BCS Bowl, considering how weak the conference is without WVU, TCU coming in, or Collaros at Cincinnati.
