Sad times in State College. Condolences to the family.

The way he was ousted was dispicable. I believe it had nothing to do with the sex scandal. That was the excuse used to cover up the real motives to replace Paterno. The scandal will now forever be associated with him, surpassing his true accomplishments.

    RIP Joe.

One of the greatest coaches in the history of the sport, college or pro. My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends in this difficult time for them.

R.I.P Joe Paterno, I won't judge you based on smothers actions. You were the best college coach ever, long before Jerry Sandusky was a child molester.

Its not about people who don't want to be accountable for making decisions that destroy a GREAT MAN in order to deflect blame for an individual that did horrific crimes allegedly...and trying to wash their hands of it for the Universities sake EITHER....

True... It's about a university..... Athletics are secondary to education, as it should be... This was a bad situation all the way around for everyone....

.... Penn State will suffer in more ways than one in the coming years due to all of this....

You can't hlep but feel that the scandal killed Paterno. His will to live pretty much stopped when everything he lived for and dedicated his life for was stripped away like it was all meaningless. When your life is stripped away with the snap of a finger, what else is really left at that age? It's certainly sad. Everything pertaining to PSU is sad right now
