Shane Carwin vs. Brock Lesnar
These two grizzlies will tango next Saturday in Vegas to unify the UFC Heavyweight Title.
This will be Lesnar's first fight in almost a year, as he's battled a bevy of health issues which nearly ended his career.
His opponent, Carwin, has been steamrolling opponents since entering the UFC, and has yet to see a fight in his professional career (12 fights) go past the first round.
For the first fight in Lesnar's career, he won't have the size and strength advantage, as Carwin himself walks around at a rough 295 pounds. Lesnar also won't have the wrestling advantage he has in the past, as Carwin is a former 2 time Division II National Champion wrestler in his own right. Mind you, if you follow wrestling, the talent drop between Division I and Division II is VERY slim.
Carwin's big advantage in this one will be his hands. Lesnar has been rocked by much smaller fighters (Randy Couture, Frank Mir), neither of whom are considered knock out strikers. Shane Carwin, on the flipside, packs MAJOR power in his hands and has that one punch knockout power that can turn Lesnar out.
Who you got in this?
