Here is my welcome message:

Ok, Tavern friends, the league has been set up and is to be a keeper league. Meaning at the end of the year there will be a number of players you can retain.

1st. As much as I'd like to do an auction style draft, that would require all ten owners to be available to draft at the same time. If one owner would be unavailable to draft, the resulting team he/she would end up with would be horrendous and surely make that owner lose interest. So in the best interest of the league, I think a standard pick by pick draft works best, in the case of someone missing the draft the computer would autopick a more respectable team. (As all setting as of right now, this isn't set in stone)

2nd. Straight up Roto scoring. I think its most fun and believe it or not my team last year won the league by .5 points when on the last Sunday of the year, in a players last at bat I picked up 1 run and that tied me with the person above me and gave me the .5 margain for the season

3rd: I allotted for 5 bench spots and 2 DL spots. I hate it when a team drafts a guy and then he and another guy gets hurt and the original owner is forced to cut him and someone else scoops him up. There will be no shortage of depth in a 10 player league with both AL and NL available. Plus you always need a backup catcher. 5 spots allows for an outfielder, and infielder, a catcher, and then 2 needs spots. I Have played with as many as 10 (Overkill) and as few as 3 (not enough). ----If anyone has any feelings about this, please let me know.

So, if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to tell me and if they are good, we can vote to implement any. Also if the consensus differs than how I set up the league, that can be changed as well right up to draft day.

Since this is my first time doing fantasy baseball, I think I hold that honor. That is until I play bdeff and I change my name to the Judd Nelsons (need to get into opponents head).

I have never played in a roto league before but I would be interested if it wasn't a lot of work to keep up with it. Is 15 to 20 minutes a day good enough?

I used to do the Sporting News leagues which seemed to me were a bit easier than a roto league. They cut those out the year before last.
